A Simple Guide To Making A French Press Cold Brew Coffee

If you like drinking hot coffee but don’t want it to be too hot or iced, then you need a French press. A French press is basically an insulated coffee mug with a cover to keep the coffee warm. You simply put in the coffee and pour water over it. You can also use this type of coffee making machine to make other types of coffee too, such as iced coffee, hot chocolate, etc. Here are some tips on how to make cold brew coffee using a French press.

First, make sure your coffee is fresh and not stale. It is best if you brew a pot or two at a time so that you don’t end up brewing too much and ending up with a lot of iced coffee. It’s best to make your own coffee rather than purchasing it at the store unless you enjoy it that way. Otherwise, invest in a good quality cold brew French press so that you will always have iced coffee. best cappuccino maker

The first step is to fill the pot with approximately four cups of very hot water. You can use a pot with a lid so that it doesn’t boil over, but the main idea is to keep the water as hot as possible. Bring the pot to a boil over high heat but do not allow it to boil over the top or else the sediment in the pot will boil off and you’ll have iced coffee.

Once the water has begun to boil, turn off the heat and add a tablespoon or so of coffee grounds. Put the coffee grounds in a paper filter or a strainer and strain the coffee through until all of the sediment is removed. At this point you should have approximately four cups of coffee grounds. If not, repeat the process and add approximately one tablespoon of coffee grounds per cup of coffee. Once you get all the sediment out, take your French press and turn it upside down and place the coffee grounds inside the coffee filter.

Place the lid on your press and place it somewhere where it will be somewhere warm and out of direct sunlight, but not too close to a burner or over an open flame. The coffee beans need to sit for approximately three minutes while they begin to break down. After three minutes has passed, turn off the pot and remove the French press from the pot. The coffee grounds will have released some of the oils that cover the coffee beans, so you want to remove these oils before brewing. Pour the hot water into a separate decanter and place the brewed coffee into your mug.

The final step is to enjoy your morning French press coffee. You can add cream and sugar or other ingredients to taste. A regular drip machine would make a good choice for this, or even a normal percolator would. There are also many recipes online that can help you understand how to make a French press cold brew.
