I have been so inspired to do a post on The Original Charleo for a few months now and I feel like now is fitting especially with the holidays peeking around the corner. What is The Origin Charleo you may ask, well to answer your inquiry, it’s the authentic and official Charleston clothing brand that speaks volumes in the 843 as a whole and has now taking larger strides to other states with the interests of celebrities rocking Charleo gear for all to see. I LOVE the love and exposure Charleo Clothing is getting.
I love it because this one dream and/or vision of an official clothing line that was cultivated by the founder or founders has brought unity and support to a culture (urban culture) and city of people that is hard as hell to get support and love from. The Charleston hip-hop and entertainment scene is one that you would have to know about to speak on. If you know anything about the hip-hop and urban music scene in Charleston you would know that unity and support of fellow artist is as cold as an Antarctic draft. Since The Original Charleo has launch I see and feel consistent love and support of the brand and a culture of people has finally pooled together to support their own through the love of being fresh to def and the culture of hip-hop.
Brianna Davis, who is Brianna Davis? Well, she is another dope ass indie artist that has a VOICE, meaning, she has bars for days, clarity in her rhymes, and lyrics to go along with beauty and a unique swag. We interviewed Brianna Davis on our radio show, Those to Watch Radio . Her interview was awesome due to the fact that we got to see her personality, which is very official and assuring. Not only that, her music, is sick!!! For real. I’m going to stop writing about it now and post the video you see below so you can check it out for yourself. I’ve been waiting for new music from Jazmine Sullivan. Her sultry, mature, gritty voice pierces my skin and gives me the she can sang goose bumps. I love this woman she’s super talented and a vocal power house.
Sullivan told Billboard in May that “Forever Don’t Last” is her most personal song on her forthcoming fall album, Reality Show.
“The most personal song is called ‘Forever [Don’t Last],'” she said. “I’m basically crying on that song. It’s a ballad, and that’s classic Jazmine. It’s a letting-go song which is why it’s so personal. I feel like I came to a point in my relationship where [I needed] to let go and move on. I just had to do it.” ~Billboard.com~
After reading that I can certainly relate. Now I’m really anxious to hear more from Jazmine Sullivan. It’s refreshing and inspiring to see your favorite artist or celeb go through emotions and situations similar to your own. It makes them real. Then you think to yourself if she overcame hurt, and heartbreak so can I. At least I think that way…everyone’s human and I love entertainers that aren’t afraid to show it with taste.
The highly anticipated Firerella EP by Miami Blaize is set to drop September 23rd. A few months ago I gave you an ear of whats to come from the petite hip hop lyricist and soon you will gain even more. I will post where to get the EP when it’s released so you can experience real hip hop, but for now check out another snippet below.
All I have to say is “she is a baddie”. I love Amber, Amber Rose that is. She is confident, super curvy, she embraces it with no apologies with style, sex appeal, poise, personality and beauty. Amber stole the spotlight on the red carpet of the 2014 VMA’s. Wearing a Laurel DeWitt chain dress Mrs. Rose posted “Not one single f-ck was given” on a video of her walking the red carpet yesterday. If my body looked like that after having a baby I would rock the hell out of that dress too.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, your simply a hater. That’s how I feel and that’s all that matters on PrettynPoppington. Smooches
J-Vive another dope artist that has something to actually talk about besides having sex and selling drugs. Don’t get me wrong, I have and do listen to trap music and mainstream music from time to time, but it’s refreshing and soul cleansing to listen to good music. It’s that simple, good music, music with a meaning, a message, lyrical content, and the best part, it’s independent. J-Vive is a true musician, his musical talents surpasses one style or genre. He’s musically inclined in all facets of music in general. Check him out below.
This next video gives you a feel of Vive’s personality and what goes on behind the scenes, and not to mention a cypher takes place…I love a good cyphers, for a minute there I thought he was gonna hop on those drums, yes he does that too.
A few weeks ago I came across a great article that was posted on the Women of Hip Hop. They featured Miami Blaize, and her hot single off the Firerella Ep, I Got It. Listen to the lyrics of this song. She has something to say and she is not afraid to express her thoughts. They lyrics are nice. Below is a snippet of what the article had to offer. Keep your eyes on this one, she is going to the top, and that’s not a bias response slipping through because she’s from the Chuck aka Charleston SC, that’s the truth. I’m proud and a little bias…lol
Miami Blaize has Got It while She keeps it Gone with the Wind Fabulous repping South Carolina and making MFs Masturbate as She Rhymes while lettin em know signing Her to a deal should be a no brainer. Listen to the up and coming Miami Raptress do Her thing below and stay tuned for the September release of Her upcoming “FIRERELLA” Ep! ~Woman of Hip Hop~
Beyonce has given everyone the response they were looking for to the elevator brawl between her sister Solange and husband Jay-Z. I love her response by the way, it was a boss ass statement to make, while rapping, and to put some stank on it she has Nicki Minaj as a featured rapper. All of this you can catch on the Flawless remix . She’s a baddie can’t deny it. The lyrics that were recited by Bey are below and the tack may be down there as well so you can hear Nicki’s verses, Check it out.
These thots can’t clock me nowadays
You wish I was your poundcake
Boy you know I look good as f-ck
Wish I was your baby mama
Want me to come around and give you good karma
Up in this b-tch like elevators
Of course sometime sh-t go down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator
Of course sometime sh-t go down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator
Goddamn, Goddamn, Goddamn
Would you like to hear it?…oh ok, press play below

“A diva like Morphisa, Awe bitch get slapped” a quote from Miami Blaize herself, the pretty and poppington indie hip hop artist that’s making a lot of noise. The words quoted below are words from “The Genesis” page on the LuChi Royale website. Reading the statement below simply made me feel divine and one with my inner royal spirit. LuChi Royale delivers a luxurious feel to men and women who require the upper echelon in designer fashions. I for one have my eyes on the wool and leather graphic printed varsity jacket. I’m all over it, for real. I’ve fallen in love with this brand and their from my hometown…that’s right Charleston SC. I’m keeping my eyes on these guys, and you should too, they’re developing a culture.
“LuChi Royale Clothing Co. isn’t for the average person. Its for those who claim much more than is offered. For the leaders of today. The originators. The Boundary Pushers. The Risk Takers. The Kings…Royalty. See everyone cant grasp the concept of the responsibility of a King. A King just isn’t put into place to rule. He’s there for the people, to lead, to protect, and to represent. Same goes for Queens. We believe our product embodies the life of an everyday modern king and queen leading there people to their prime.”
