After a successful first collection of MCM by PHENOMENON, MCM and PHENOMENON are teaming up again for the Spring/Summer 2011 season. Unlike the previous leopard printed pieces, this season features custom designed tribal patterns in blue, green, pink and white. Metallic accents are silver in color this time and it works well with the fresh summer theme. A wide range of items are produced from bags to wallets and coin cases to bracelets. The whole 14 piece collection will be launching on June 5th and sold exclusively at THE CONTEMPORARY FIX, UNITED ARROWS Harajuku and PHENOMENON Osaka. via: Fashionsnap.com
Titled Neo Conquistador the collection is all about the destruction of an empire and the creation of a new world from the rubble, a phoenix-like rising from the ashes. On knowing this the exploding fragments of gems and shooting rods of metal that compose the hulking pieces have more meaning. As the story continues, the conquistador searches for relics from the cultures destroyed, finding primitive carved wooden and glass tribal beads, claw drops, and sharp silver cones significant of spearheads. Finally, all the relics are combined into new and modern pieces laced in vibrant neon colors meant to represent a new day of promise and awakening.
One of my favorite women to watch when it comes to style and fashion, Nicole Richie. Nicole Richie was at Nordstrom Fashion Island in Newport Beach, yesterday, 14th May, to promote her lines, House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate. For her outfit the designer paired a Winter Kate Cooper nude petal silk blouse with ruffle trim collar with high waisted denim shorts, black tights, Alaia booties and a wide brimmed hat. I like her dewy natural glow and her beachy waves the classic Richie get up, shes always stuck to the hippie chic look, and she owns it, it works like no other very poppington.
It is thought that when Lady Gaga made her appearance as a mentor on the show on Wednesday night, the producers of the show were forced to block out the images with two big red stars.
According to Musicrooms.net, the shop that Lady Gaga got the boots from “fuses the overt sexuality of rubber, vinyl and plastic textiles and striking body-conscious silhouettes with modern tailoring and artisan techniques to form a collection that is both beautiful and provocative”. I personally think they should have known what they were getting into when the gave her this oppurtunity, always expect the unexpected with miss gaga herself….and I love her for this.
Sounds like Lady Gaga’s favourite shop.
Summer’s It Boy–Photographing yet another campaign for Topman, Angelo Pennetta captures Q model Keno for the retailer’s latest efforts. Juxtaposing the quiet indoors with elements of a wardrobe ideal for summer fun, Keno is outfitted by go-to stylist Alister Mackie. I love this look, its summer, its bright, and its pretty laidback, you dont have to mix alot of pieces to get the look, these pieces are laying around in the back of our closets somewhere, and we all have a pair of old jeans in our closet that we dont mind cutting up im sure of 🙂
Ive never realized just how sexy and posh Blake Lively!! she could be the new Carrie Bradshaw if she keeps this up. The Gossip Girl spruced up her tresses with a bit of color and it’s simply stunning. Lively attended the Chanel Collection Croisiere Show 2011-12 in Cap d’Antibes, France on Monday (May 9) and showed off her legs in a barely there Chanel get-up paired with Christian Louboutins. Also spotted at the Chanel show was Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung and the ever mysterious Karl Lagerfield!
