Its that little hint of red sole that makes every chic flutter and lust a little after these shoes. I must confess I get a certain excitement everytime I see a woman walking on a street and that signature red is sparkling right before my eyes. What some of you may not know is these shoes were created in 1992….yep. If Mystic Meg looked into her magic ball, it might have blown up if she had any idea this brand would be so huge. At times his fall 2011 collection oozes glamour, style and ultimate chicness. At other times it’s over the top, bordering on the gaudy. You’ll find all manner of styles amongst Christian Louboutin’s autumn / fall 2011 women’s collection. You have the clean cut court shoe for the sophisticated 9 to 5 girl. You have a bit of leopard print and pewter studding for the vixens. And you have the bold colours for those who want to be noticed (albeit there are some that go quite over the top). However, if that’s not your style there are a pair of almond coloured, laser-cut ankle boots with the most delicate of leather-lace detail and a bit of fur for good measure! To view all the pieces from the Christian Louboutin fall / winter 2011 collection, click on the thumbnails below
Titled Neo Conquistador the collection is all about the destruction of an empire and the creation of a new world from the rubble, a phoenix-like rising from the ashes. On knowing this the exploding fragments of gems and shooting rods of metal that compose the hulking pieces have more meaning. As the story continues, the conquistador searches for relics from the cultures destroyed, finding primitive carved wooden and glass tribal beads, claw drops, and sharp silver cones significant of spearheads. Finally, all the relics are combined into new and modern pieces laced in vibrant neon colors meant to represent a new day of promise and awakening.
