She’s been a long-time supporter of a whole host of charitable causes. But now Beyoncé has gone one step further than merely lending her name to a good cause.
The Halo hitmaker and songwriter Diane Warren have donated album track I Was Here to World Humanitarian Day. Hoping to encourage people around the globe to do something positive for others, the 30-year-old star is keen for her influence will help to shine a spotlight on humanitarian work.
Beyoncé will film a video for the track at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York City in front of a live audience on August 19. ‘We all see the headlines and we think what can I really do to help?’, she said. ‘World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care.’
The campaign website which launched yesterday, encourages people to share their acts of good will, in the hope the message will reach someone.
Beyoncé’s latest act of good will comes after she announced plans to star in a documentary about her life and career. The Crazy In Love singer is to direct, produce and appear in the film which will include concert footage, backstage scenes and interviews with her and her loved ones about her life.
Im proud to say my girl is back!!! and hotter than ever. So we all know Beyonce’s concerts have always been grand, happy occasions. Perhaps its her buoyant hair or the vibrant dancing, but there’s always an unadulterated air of joy about her performance. In video from Friday’s concert at the new Revel casino and resort (the first of four nights she’s performing at the venue), Bey appears to be in fine form, shimmying her way through her impressive catalog of hits, from relatively new tracks like “Halo” to Destiny’s Child classics like “Jumpin’ Jumpin.'” You can catch some audience footage in the gallery below.
I am SOOOO happy she did a video for this song, I have to say this is by far one of the sexiest songs shes ever made, ladies take a few notes Dressed in a silky, sexy number, complete with stockings and garters, she pops it and whips that hair seductively for a man in clips from her yet-to-be-released video, “Dance For You”. Fans of Beyonce will be the first to enjoy the full version when they purchase the deluxe edition of Live At Roseland: Elements of 4, which drops November 29th. The basic edition was just released yesterday at Wal-Mart, but “Dance For You” and six other videos will be featured on the double-disc deluxe version.
Expectant singer Beyoncé Knowles was spotted leaving an office building in New York City on Tuesday (November 8). The Love on Top songstress – who is expecting her first child with rapper hubby Jay-Z early next year – looked fierce in a sophisticated black jacket and pants off set by a shiny Tory Burch bag called 797 and a pair of distinctive animal print Christian Louboutin platform boots! This woman’s shoe game is very deadly.
A very glowy and happy Bey shows off her way of wearing a white flowy victorian-esque blouse, paired with a pair of black skinnies and black patent leather platform boots, and POPing blue crocodile skin bag, messy hair pulled in a pony and she looks amazing, comfortable and chic ….remember Im going to keep you updated with Beys style her entire pregnancy 🙂
So its already official, that Bey takes the title for hottest Mom-to-be. She proved me no wrong when she stepped out this morning rocking a very sexy and casual outfit…It wasn’t the red coat that caught my attention…as i zoomed in more, I noticed that she was wearing a pair of
Alain Quilici Payson Skate Boots…..soo poppington. She is definitely stepping the pregnant swag look for mothers up, and we should thank her for it….sweat pants, and always looking comfortable can only take you but so far…im just saying 🙂
My girl, does it again, with the 5th video from her amazing album 4, she delivers the ‘party’ video everything about this video is hot, and what makes it even hotter is that its done in a trailer park….like seriously, she took it there, never thought I would see the day this happened, but she made trailer park look editorial, the video is directed by The Alan Ferguson (Solange’s boyfriend) directed clip for “Party” features the pop singer surround by friends with amazing 80s and 90s bright clothing. It makes me want summer back in a major way.
Bey, who continually makes Forbes lists and racks up Grammys (her six wins in one night at the 2010 ceremony is a record for a female artist), doesn’t fret too much over the drama—even if you can tell the question irks her, simply in the asking. “There is room on this earth for many queens,” she begins diplomatically, before drawing a few not-at-all subtle lines of distinction. “I have an authentic, God-given talent, drive, and longevity that will always separate me from everyone else. I’ve been fortunate to accomplish things that the younger generation of queens dream of accomplishing. I have no desire for anyone else’s throne. I am very comfortable in the throne I’ve been building for the past 15 years.”
Bey is continuing the huge European promo push for her new album ’4′, Beyonce is featured in a photo spread for Vogue Italia, shot by Francesco Carrozzini. For the glammed up photo shoot, Stylist Rushka Bergman decked out ‘King B’ in huge Furs over Tom Ford gowns.
So everyone knows Beyonce has been everywhere the past two weeks, Press, Concerts, Photoshoots, Album promoting…..so she decided to bring us into her world. Over the past year, shes been documenting every little thing she has accomplished, take a look at this inspiring, beautiful docomentary and all the Balmain shes been wearing…..very nicely done, as always 🙂
A lady by the name of Beyonce Knowles made history…she was the first girl, or lady to headline the Glastonbury festival in 20 years.
She opened with signature tune Crazy In Love to a shedload of fireworks as she danced energetically around the stage wearing a bum-skimming gold-sequinned jacket, black pants and stiletto boots The emotional star, the first female solo headliner at the Somerset event in a quarter of a century, then enthusiastically greeted the crowd. She said: “I want you to know right now you are witnessing my dream. “I always wanted to be a rock star and tonight we are all rock stars. The performances were very touching, I must say I’ve pretty much seen every clip and performance of Beyonce ever, and this tops them all. A very emotional performance of Prince’s “Beautiful Ones” and Kings of Leon “sex on fire” will melt your heart, literally.
“Forget about your troubles, I wanna make beautiful memories. Glastonbury are you ready?” She told fans: “I’ve done a lot of things in my life but I’ve never performed to 175,000 people. This is unbelievable.”
