What’s Poppington: Jessie Williams Guns Fired and Drop The Mic Amazing Speech

JesseWilliams-PrettynPoppington

Jesse Williams, man oh man, I was left speechless along with thousands of others after watching the 2016 BET Awards Humanitarian recipients’ speech. This man is more than a fictional character suited in medical scrubs and a lab coat as seen on Grey’s Anatomy. Jessie Williams is for the fight and for the uplift-meant and equal rights of black Americans. He stands on the front lines supporting, and fighting for equality that’s much needed still in 2016. Watching him speak made me feel like I was apart of something great, he spoke like a passionate activist ready to employ change by any means necessary. Click play and watch Jesse Williams in action.

“In this segment, we visit concept store Area 3, sneaker boutique DIP ST. and local hangout Father Coffee, all of which have become bastions of light for the streetwear community in Jozi. Tucked away on the second floor of an inconspicuous mall, DIP ST. has become a mainstay for those looking for both local and foreign brands. While DIP’s operations continue to be hindered by crime (with founder Tusa Mamba putting a halt on sneaker campouts for the safety of his customers), the store and its surrounding retailers take pride in bridging the gap between rare, quality designs from Europe and the Far East with its loyal customer base. Check out “Braamfontein Scene” above and stay tuned for episode 2 ….” By
